HSFC Men's Rugby Team after their win in Romania

Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ Sixth Form College claimed a memorable 10-7 victory over Romania U18s in a fiercely contested match at the prestigious Romanian Olympic Centre. In a game that tested both physicality and composure, Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ’s discipline and determination shone through against a powerful international side.

The visitors struck first, silencing the home crowd with a beautifully executed backs move. A slick passage of play saw the ball worked wide with pace and precision before Archie L sliced through a gap to dot down near the posts.  The conversion by Conrad H sailed through the uprights and early score gave Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ belief.

Romania responded just before the break with a moment of opportunism, pouncing on an intercepted pass in the midfield to race under the posts. The simple conversion put the hosts back in the game going in 7-7 at half-time.

The second half was an arm-wrestle, with both sides battling for control. Romania’s sheer size and power asked constant questions of the Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ defence, but Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵshire side stood firm, fronting up with relentless tackling and smart game management.

With two minutes left on the clock, Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ earned a penalty just inside Romanian territory. Under intense pressure, scrum half Ralph T stepped up and calmly slotted the kick to reclaim the lead — 10-7.

Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ held their nerve in the dying moments, closing out the match with controlled possession and tactical kicking to seal a famous victory on foreign soil.

It was a statement performance from the Â鶹¶ÌÊÓƵ squad — resilient, tactically sharp, and unafraid of the challenge. Against an international team with size and pedigree, they proved they could go toe-to-toe and come out on top.
